Do cats normally eat less in hot weather?

Our cats have been eating the same amount, but our house is air-conditioned. One of the cats is less active, but I will be taking him in for a check-up. If the cat continues eating less and sleeping more, take to the vet, again and look for infection or other problems. A recheck should cost less than the original vet visit.
