If you build up a resistance to minocycline, then stop using it for a month, will it become effective again?

I have ocular rosacea that was maintained until a recent eye exam. Now it has flaired up again and the minocen is not effective in reducing the eye pain contributed by reoccuring corneal erosions and ocular rosacea together. I've been on minocen for 2 years at 50 mg. bid.
