Is there any way to sterilise make-up brushes?

dish detergent and hot water is great. It's anti-bacterial and safe to use. Although I have heard that it can strip the moisture from you brushes so use 2 parts soap- to 1 part olive oil---this will both clean, disinfect and take care of your brushes. Know that the olive oil will NOT make you brushes oily, or cause breakouts on your skin (olive oil is extremely good for your skin including your face.)
